Afghanistan
Afghan cinema has been repeatedly interrupted by war and by Taliban bans on film. Siddiq Barmak's Osama (2003) was the first feature shot in Afghanistan after the fall of the Taliban, and Atiq Rahimi's Earth and Ashes (2004) came from the same period.
