Plot

In a hot New York jury room, twelve men must decide the fate of a teenager accused of murdering his father. Eleven are ready to vote guilty, but Juror 8 insists on discussing the evidence, and slowly the doubts, prejudices and personal histories of the men are exposed. Sidney Lumet's 1957 debut, with Henry Fonda, is set almost entirely in one room and is a tense drama about reason and justice.

Sinekatalog’s take

One room, twelve jurors, one stubborn doubt. Lumet builds tension through dialogue, camera height and sweat alone. A compact lesson in how prejudice shapes judgment and how a single voice can slow a rush to verdict.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
