Plot
The film follows a fictionalised day and a half in the life of the Beatles as they travel by train to London for a television broadcast, pursued by screaming fans. Along the way, Ringo goes missing, Paul's grandfather causes mischief and the group escapes from their manager. Richard Lester's 1964 black-and-white comedy, with its playful camera and songs, was hugely influential on later music videos.
Sinekatalog’s take
Richard Lester's Beatles comedy is a fizzy, fast, witty portrait of fame. Its playful camerawork and the band's natural charm made it a template for pop films and music videos.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
