Plot
A Japanese soldiers' stranded group on a Pacific island.
Sinekatalog’s take
Josef von Sternberg's last film strands Japanese soldiers on a Pacific island where one woman unleashes jealousy and violence. Shot entirely on stylised studio sets with his own narration, it is a strange, artificial, hypnotic parable.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
