Sinekatalog’s take
Michael Cacoyannis's stark adaptation of Euripides has Irene Papas waiting in a barren village for her brother to avenge their father. Austere, powerful and beautifully shot in the Greek landscape, it is a classic of screen tragedy.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
