Plot

In 1997, Manhattan is a walled maximum-security prison, and a former soldier is sent in to rescue the kidnapped President.

Sinekatalog’s take

John Carpenter's dystopian action film is cheap, cool and moody. Kurt Russell's Snake Plissken is a great antihero, and the grungy Manhattan-as-prison idea still feels fresh.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
