His first drama, in the manner of Bergman.
Sinekatalog’s take
Woody Allen's first straight drama, modelled on Bergman, is cold, austere and very serious. Geraldine Page is superb, and while stiffly mannered, the film shows his ambition beyond comedy.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
