Plot

Thomas Hudson, a painter living alone on a Caribbean island on the eve of the Second World War, is visited by his three sons for the summer. After the boys leave and tragedy follows, Hudson is drawn into the war when he hunts the survivors of a German submarine. Adapted from Ernest Hemingway's posthumous novel.
