An adaptation of Amado.
Sinekatalog’s take
Nelson Pereira dos Santos adapts Jorge Amado's novel about a poor Black boy in Bahia who grows into boxer and activist. Earthy and rich in culture, it is a handsome, if loosely told, portrait of Afro-Brazilian life.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
