Plot
A black-and-white silent film from a Finnish novel.
Sinekatalog’s take
Aki Kaurismäki's silent black-and-white film retells a Finnish novel of a farmer's wife seduced by a city slicker. Stylised, deadpan and beautiful, it is a witty, tender homage to silent cinema that fits his bleak humour.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
