Plot

Private detective Mike Hammer, a brutal and selfish man, picks up a hitchhiker on a dark road and soon finds himself caught up in a hunt for a mysterious case, the 'great whatsit', that people are willing to kill for. As the body count rises, he finds that the stakes are much bigger than he thought. Based on Mickey Spillane's novel.
