Sinekatalog’s take

Ernst Lubitsch's silent costume drama follows Louis XV's mistress's rise and fall, with Pola Negri and Emil Jannings. Lavish and lively, with Lubitsch's wit already in view, it was a breakthrough hit in America.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
