Plot

After a nuclear war has wiped out the northern hemisphere, the last survivors in Melbourne wait for the radioactive cloud to reach them. An American submarine commander, a young Australian officer, a scientist and a lonely woman each decide how to spend the months that remain. Based on Nevil Shute's novel.

Sinekatalog’s take

A quiet, grim end-of-the-world film that is about waiting rather than explosions. Its calm is its power: ordinary people do small things while the end approaches.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
