Sinekatalog’s take

Gillian Armstrong's Peter Carey adaptation unites a gambling clergyman and an heiress in a glass-church scheme. Ralph Fiennes and Cate Blanchett are fine, and the film's odd, lush story is a charming if overstuffed romance.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
