Plot
A Helsinki rubbish collector and a supermarket cashier meet and slowly, awkwardly, form a relationship.
Sinekatalog’s take
Aki Kaurismäki's first Proletariat Trilogy film pairs a rubbish collector with a supermarket cashier. Dry, deadpan and warm, it finds romance in awkward silences and working-class dreams.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
