A comedy drama and the year's highest-grossing Hindi film.
Sinekatalog’s take
Raj Kapoor's hit comedy-drama follows an honest young man corrupted by Bombay's temptations, with Nargis as his conscience. Charming, tuneful and satirical, with the tramp-like hero, it is a classic of 1950s Hindi cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
