Sinekatalog’s take
Naomi Kawase's coming-of-age drama on Japan's Amami island follows two teenagers confronting death, sex and nature. Lush and spiritual, with strong sea and storm images, it is a gentle, earnest and sometimes opaque film.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
