Plot

A venal, spoiled stockbroker's wife impulsively embezzles $10,000 from a charity she runs and borrows from a Japanese ivory dealer.

Sinekatalog’s take

Cecil B. DeMille's silent drama is a lurid, stylish melodrama, with a famous branding scene, and a dated portrayal of Japan.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
