Plot

In 1943 the Germans collect the most determined Allied escapers in one new prisoner-of-war camp, Stalag Luft III, believing it escape-proof. The prisoners plan to dig three tunnels and get out 250 men at once. Based on a true story and Paul Brickhill's book, with an ensemble led by Steve McQueen, James Garner and Richard Attenborough.

Sinekatalog’s take

A long, warm and brilliantly organised adventure, with every character given a trade and a personality. McQueen's motorcycle chase is famous, but the sober ending keeps it from being merely a romp.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
