Plot

A Christ-like thief is taken up by an alchemist who gathers seven powerful people, each representing a planet, to join them on a pilgrimage to the Holy Mountain, where immortal sages are said to live. The film is a succession of surreal and shocking images, including satires of religion, war and consumerism. Alejandro Jodorowsky's 1973 film, financed by John Lennon and Allen Klein, is a cult classic of psychedelic cinema.
