Sinekatalog’s take

Karim Aïnouz tells of two inseparable sisters in 1950s Rio, torn apart when one runs away and each lives for decades believing the other is lost. It is a lush, angry melodrama about the cost of women's lives under a patriarchal order.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
