Sinekatalog’s take
Alexander Kluge's collage of images and facts follows a history teacher who digs in the earth for Germany's buried past, from Stalingrad to the divided country. Hannelore Hoger is superb in a brainy, restless film that treats history as something you must excavate.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
