Sinekatalog’s take
Idrissa Ouédraogo's tragedy follows a man who returns to his Burkina Faso village to find his betrothed married to his father, and the law-breaking love that follows. Spare and stately, with a Greek-like force, it won the Cannes Grand Prix.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
