Sinekatalog’s take

Ettore Scola's black comedy follows a grotesque patriarch ruling his family in a Roman shantytown. Nino Manfredi is wonderful, and the film is savage, funny and strangely tender about poverty.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
