Sinekatalog’s take

May el-Toukhy's drama is set in post-war Denmark, where a nanny about to marry her wealthy employer hides her relationship with a German soldier while women accused of such ties are publicly humiliated. Tense and morally charged, it is a thoughtful study of shame, class and survival.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
