Chad

Chad has very little film infrastructure, and its cinema is mostly the work of Mahamat-Saleh Haroun, who has made quiet, compassionate films on the scars of civil war and the fate of ordinary people. His work has won prizes at Cannes and Venice and is among the most important in francophone Africa.
