Kosovo

Kosovo's film industry is young, built after the 1999 war and independence in 2008. Isa Qosja carried Yugoslav-era experience into a Kosovar cinema, and Blerta Basholli's Hive, about a woman starting a business in a village of the missing, won top prizes at Sundance. Film is also an important form of memory and social debate.
