Born in Romania in 1980, Adina Pintilie studied in Bucharest and later in Berlin and works between documentary and fiction. Her first feature, Touch Me Not (2018), is a daring hybrid film in which actors and non-actors, with various bodies and disabilities, explore intimacy, touch and the fear of closeness, and Pintilie appears as herself. It won the Golden Bear in Berlin, with divided reactions, and was attacked by some critics as an experiment.
