Born in Fécamp in 1978, Justine Triet studied art and then film at La Fémis and made documentaries before turning to fiction. Her comedies, La Bataille de Solférino (2013), In Bed with Victoria (2016) and Sibyl (2019), are fast-paced portraits of professional women in emotional turmoil. Anatomy of a Fall (2023), a courtroom drama in which a writer is accused of her husband's death, won the Palme d'Or, only the third by a woman, and the Oscar for original screenplay, written with her partner Arthur Harari.
