The family gathers for Christmas at their home in Roubaix, including her troubled son Henri, who was banished years before. Old resentments surface with affection and humour. Sinekatalog’s take

Arnaud Desplechin's family drama gathers a feuding clan at Christmas as the matriarch needs a bone-marrow donor. Rich, messy and funny, with Catherine Deneuve and Mathieu Amalric, it is a lively, wise portrait.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
