A young Greek man in the Ottoman Empire dreams of reaching America.
Sinekatalog’s take
Elia Kazan's epic follows a young Greek in the Ottoman Empire whose desire for America drives him through hardship and compromise. Sprawling, personal and stirring, in stark black-and-white, it is a heartfelt immigrant tale.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
