Sinekatalog’s take
Masahiro Shinoda's stylised period thriller follows a ronin plotting to kill the shogun's adviser as intrigues multiply before the Meiji restoration. Sharp, black-and-white and tense, it is a stylish samurai-conspiracy drama.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
