Sinekatalog’s take
Masaki Kobayashi's samurai drama has Toshiro Mifune defying his lord over a family's honour. Tense, tragic and superbly shot, it builds to a violent clash and is a powerful critique of feudal obedience.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
