Plot
A witch executed in seventeenth-century Moldavia is revived two centuries later by two travelling doctors and sets out to take revenge.
Sinekatalog’s take
Mario Bava's gothic horror, with Barbara Steele as a revenge-seeking witch, is atmospheric and stylish. Its black-and-white images, spiked mask opening and misty crypts made it a landmark of Italian horror.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
