Plot
A drama of two lovers in Fascist Italy.
Sinekatalog’s take
Lina Wertmüller's drama set in Fascist Italy pits Sophia Loren's widow, torn between a lawyer and an anarchist, against Mussolini's thugs. Marcello Mastroianni and Giancarlo Giannini star in a lively, loud and overstuffed blend of romance and politics.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
