Bride of Frankenstein

Plot
After surviving the fire at the end of the first film, the Monster wanders the countryside and is taken in by a lonely hermit, who teaches him to speak. The sinister Dr Pretorius forces Henry Frankenstein to build a mate for the creature. When the Bride, played by Elsa Lanchester, comes to life, she rejects him. James Whale's 1935 sequel, with Boris Karloff, combines horror with dark humour and pathos, and is widely thought to be superior to the original.
Sinekatalog’s take
James Whale's sequel is witty, campy and moving, as the Monster seeks a companion. Elsa Lanchester's shock-haired Bride appears only briefly but became a horror icon.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
