Sinekatalog’s take
Claire Denis's semi-autobiographical debut recalls a girl's childhood in colonial Cameroon and her bond with the family's servant. Hushed, sensuous and sharp, it quietly dissects race and power.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
