The life of Saartjie Baartman, a South African woman exhibited in Europe.
Sinekatalog’s take
Abdellatif Kechiche's harrowing drama tells of Saartjie Baartman, the South African woman exhibited as a spectacle in Europe. Yahima Torrès is powerful in a long, uncompromising film about exploitation that is hard to watch.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
