Sinekatalog’s take
Alexander Sokurov's quiet drama imagines Emperor Hirohito's last days in a bunker and his renunciation of divinity. Issei Ogata is extraordinary in a hushed, strange and sympathetic portrait of a god turned man.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
