Plot
Ana, a girl of eight, lives in Madrid with her sisters and aunt after the death of her father, a military officer, following her mother's death from cancer. Convinced she has the power to kill with a glass of milk and bicarbonate, she moves through memories and fantasies of her mother. Carlos Saura's 1976 film, with Geraldine Chaplin and Ana Torrent, uses a child's perspective to comment on the legacy of Franco's Spain.
