Sinekatalog’s take
Luchino Visconti's adaptation of Thomas Mann is a slow, sumptuous study of obsession and decay. Dirk Bogarde is superb, and Mahler's Adagietto and the lagoon images are haunting.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
