Plot
A mysterious drifter, Django, arrives in a muddy border town, dragging a coffin behind him. The town is caught between a band of Mexican revolutionaries and a gang of racist Klansmen led by Major Jackson. Django sets about taking revenge, and the coffin hides a machine gun. Sergio Corbucci's 1966 Spaghetti Western, with Franco Nero, was famously violent, banned in several countries and inspired countless imitations.
Sinekatalog’s take
Sergio Corbucci's spaghetti western is grim, muddy and violent, with Franco Nero dragging a coffin through a lawless town. Its bleak style and machine-gun twist made it a hugely influential cult classic.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
