Sinekatalog’s take
Stanley Kwan's drama follows a Shanghai woman across forty years of love and loss through war and revolution. Sammi Cheng stars in a handsome but uneven adaptation that lacks the force of Kwan's best work.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
