Sinekatalog’s take
Lav Diaz's ten-hour epic chronicles a family of rice farmers under Marcos from 1971 to 1987. Austere, shot in black and white and grand in scale, it is a monumental, patient work of Philippine cinema and national memory.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
