Plot

Félicité, a proud bar singer in Kinshasa, tries to raise money for an operation for her teenage son, who has been injured in a motorcycle accident and whose leg is at risk. She moves through the city, begging, borrowing and confronting a hard-drinking mechanic, Tabu, who becomes her unexpected companion. Alain Gomis's 2017 film, with musical scenes by the Kasai Allstars, won the Grand Jury Prize in Berlin.
