Sinekatalog’s take

Paul Thomas Anderson's debut is a quiet, stylish Reno gambling drama. Philip Baker Hall is superb as the old pro, and the film shows its director's mastery of character and mood already.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
