Sinekatalog’s take
Ferzan Özpetek's drama follows the sultan's favourite and a eunuch in a doomed love as the Ottoman Empire falls. Richly mounted but uneven, it is a sensuous, nostalgic tale of lost worlds.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
