Sinekatalog’s take
Victor Sjöström's silent melodrama has Lon Chaney as a betrayed scientist turned circus clown, slapped for laughs. Haunting and macabre, with Norma Shearer, it is a powerful study of humiliation and love.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
