Plot
On a hot August day in Rome, the reckless and charming Bruno takes the shy law student Roberto on a wild car trip along the Italian coast. Roberto is at first shocked but increasingly drawn into Bruno's carefree world, until events reach a sudden end. Dino Risi's 1962 film, with Vittorio Gassman and Jean-Louis Trintignant, is a witty and bitter portrait of Italy's economic boom, and an enduring favourite.
