Sinekatalog’s take

Shyam Benegal's period drama sets a Pathan landlord's obsession with an English girl in the 1857 Indian uprising. Shashi Kapoor, who also produced, is magnetic in a lush, intense and tragic tale of passion across cultures and cruelty.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
